HKU-Shenzhen Hospital (HKU-SZH), invested by the Shenzhen Municipal Government and managed by the University of Hong Kong, is the first public tertiary hospital in mainland China to fully adopt HK management and clinical standards.
The hospital implements three core mechanisms: universal appointments, bundled pricing, and evidence-based medicine to eliminate over-treatment. All specialists are trained and certified by the HK Academy of Medicine.
As a GBA medical cooperation demonstration site, it is a key pilot hospital for the "HK-Macau Drug & Device Connect" policy, enabling access to innovative drugs and devices approved in HK/Macau but not yet available in mainland China.
